He was born January 27, 1910, in Troy, Ind. Roy was an Army veteran. He worked for Tell City Electric as an electrician. He was married on June 1, 1944, to Marjorie Dollahan. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are daughters, Phyllis Taylor of Newburgh, Ind., and Beverly Kleeman of Spokane, Wash.; one son, Roger Masterson of Owensboro, Ky.; ten grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie (Dollahan) Masterson in April 2004; a son, James Masterson; parents, William and Mary (Milam) Masterson; and three brothers, Joe, Elmer and Earl Masterson.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, October 19, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home in Tell City, the Rev. Bill Reid will officiate. Burial will take place in Collins Chapel, Evanston, Ind.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to service time Thursday at the funeral home.
