Marjorie A. Milne
Marjorie Arlene (Eddy) Milne of Stratford, beloved wife of the late William R.C. Milne, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017 in Stratford. Mrs. Milne was born in Schenectady, New York, daughter of the late Harold and Gertrude (Beers) Eddy and had been a life time area resident.
Marjorie worked at Sikorsky for 26 years and was a member of the Quarter Century Club and the Sikorsky Retiree Friendship Club. She was also a member of the Stratford United Methodist Church for well over 50 years and, through the church, belonged to the "As You Like It Group" and "The Books and Things Group." She loved the church and her many wonderful friends there. She was also a member of the St. Vincent Healthy Heart Club.
She is survived by two adored sons, William R. C. Milne, Jr. of Derry, New Hampshire and Richard H. Milne of Stratford; six grandchildren, Tara Brassaw, Toni Genero, Jodie Antoine, Richard H. Milne Jr., Christopher Milne and Scott Milne; seven adored great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Ruby Marshall, May Hornak, June Squire and Arabella Heatherton, all of Paradise, CA and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Bridges.
Friends are invited to attend her funeral service officiated by Pastor Simeon Law on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford, and at 10:00 a.m. in The Stratford United Methodist Church, 2600 Main St., Stratford. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Stratford.
Friends may visit with her family Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marjorie's memory may be made to the Stratford United Methodist Church, 2600 Main St., Stratford, CT 06615.
