John Alesevich Obituary

ALESEVICH John Alesevich Sr., age 96 of Stratford, beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Krawchuck Alesevich, died Saturday, October 25, 2008 peacefully in Fairfield. Born in New York City, October 22, 1912, he was the son of the late Simeon and Mary Babich Alesevich. He was the former owner of the Shelton Arms Provisions Co. in Bridgeport for 40 years. Survivors include his devoted sons, Eugene Alesevich and his wife, Susan of Las Vegas Nev., John Alesevich Jr. and his wife, Bonnie of Stratford, Paul Alesevich and his wife, Mary Ann of Stratford and Nicholas Alesevich and his wife, Kaye of Trumbull; eight grandchildren, Robert Alesevich and his wife, Clarissa of Reno, Nev., Derrick Alesevich of San Francisco, Calif., Kim Auten and her husband, Jim of Stratford, Karyn Marinella of Stratford, Amy DiMilia and her husband, Nick of Milford, Matthew Alesevich of New York City and Christie and Kelly Alesevich of Trumbull; seven great-grandchildren, Chloe Alesevich, Corey, Joshua and Cassie Auten, Ryan Marinella, Paul Alesevich and Billy Grey; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Peter and Walter Alesevich and three sisters, Nadie Green, Elsie Klenowitz and Ann Zakrzewski. Funeral Services will take place Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at 9:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford and at 10 a.m. in Holy Ghost Russian Orthodox Church Bridgeport for a Requiem Funeral Service. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Monroe. The family would like to thank the staff on K1 at the Jewish Home for the Elderly for their support and the wonderful loving care given to our father, John. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish Home for the Elderly, 175 Jefferson St. Fairfield, CT 06824. My heartfelt sympathy to the entire family. John was blessed with a loving caring family. I was sorry I was not working when John died, but I want you all to know how much we cared about John. And I also want to thank you for mentioning K1 in yor obituary, that was very thoughtful of you. John is at peace now. God bless his loving family, sincerely Sally Harris

I found out the other day that John was my grandmother's cousin(Lucy(Luba) Babich Roman). I have been trying to piece the family tree together.
