Bernadette Pina-Colon Obituary

Bernadette Pina-Colon
Dec. 26, 1968 to Jan. 4, 2021
Bernadette was born and raised in Greenwich CT and graduated from Greenwich High School. Known to her friends as Bernie, she enjoyed various sports. She loved the ocean and marine biology. Bernie loved all unconditionally. Her happiness and positivity was infectious. Anyone lucky enough to have known Bernie will be forever touched by her kindness and generosity. She soon met the love of her life and married. They started their family in Greenwich and then moved to Bridgeport CT. After some years there she finally settled in Naugatuck CT. There she became active in multiple church communities. She truly had a heart of gold and as a prayer warrior, she spent countless hours praying for all, a passion she inherited from her mother the late Polly Torres.
Bernadette leaves behind her husband of 31 years Hector Colon; sons Luis Pina and Hector Kevin Colon, Daughter Vanessa Marie Colon - Furia, 4 grandchildren Ariel O Pina, Kairi M. Pina, Lilliana M. Furia and Brandon M. Furia. Bernadette is also survived by her 3 brothers Kevin D. Pina , Marcus Santiago, and Mitch Santiago as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Bernadette,
We used to have some fun back in the day. You and Paulette were like sisters and you two invited me into your friendship. I always remember you being kind and always smiling. May you rest in eternal peace.

In the many years I knew Bernie she was always thoughtful, loving, and kind. I remember us getting together for some family picnics and we would have so much fun. We will miss her very much. I extend my deepest sympathy to her husband and family. We know some day we will all be re-united in Heaven.
