Joaquim Rosa Obituary
Joaquim Rua Rosa, age 71, of Shelton, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. Born in Codeçoso de Montalegre, Portugal on February 2, 1950, he was a son of the late Joaquim and Ana (Rua) Rosa and was a longtime resident of Shelton. Before his retirement, Joaquim worked at Heim Bearings for many years. He loved being outdoors and spent countless hours tending to his vegetable and flower gardens. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his grandchildren. But above all, he was a loving father, grandfather and uncle.
Survivors include his three loving children, Susana Dominguez (Raymond) of Florida, Nelson Rosa (Sonia) of Shelton and Cristiana Pintado (Robert) of Florida, brothers, Antonio Rosa (Ana) of Bridgeport and Jose Rosa (Grace) of Monroe, sisters, Joaquina Dias of Virginia, Maria Madeira of Bridgeport, sister-in-law Augusta Rosa of Bridgeport and seven grandchildren, Alexandrea, Brian, Adelaide, Antonio, Illiana, Julius and Audriana as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Joao Rosa.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 8, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 429 Huntington Road, Bridgeport. Face masks are required and social distancing will be expected. Entombment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. There are no calling hours. Arrangements in care of the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, Trumbull and online condolences may be left by visiting us at www.abriola.com.
