Edward LaRosa Obituary

LAROSA Mr. Edward LaRosa, age 86, of 133 Oakville Avenue, husband of Josephine (Fiermonte) LaRosa, died early Thursday morning, February 27, 2003 at the Abbott Terrace Health Center. Mr. LaRosa was born in Waterbury, November 7, 1916, a son of the late Samuel and Carmella (Delappo) LaRosa and was a lifelong city resident. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, having served in the South Pacific and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Plymouth. He had worked at the former Fulton Market for over 30 years, as store manager and retired from Loralei Manufacturing Co., in 1985 after 20 years of service. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, David E. LaRosa and of Fairfield and Mark S. LaRosa of Waterbury; two brothers, Raymond LaRosa of Prospect and Samuel LaRosa Jr. of Wolcott; one sister, Dorothy Dauphinas of Waterbury; and two grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 70 Central Avenue. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Health at Home-Hospice, 27 Princeton Road, Watertown 06795.
