James Parenti Obituary

James Duncan Parenti, 41, born Jan. 20, 1964 in Chicago, passed away peacefully at the St. James Hospital Hospice House, Chicago Heights, on Aug. 24, 2005. He is survived by his wife Pat (Hood), Richton Park; parents Terry and Peggy (Smith) Parenti, Estes Park, CO, formerly Olympia Fields; sisters Lisa (Larry) Hrynko and Kathryn Parenti (Ken) Eichwald, Naperville; nieces and nephews Katelyn and Terry Eichwald, and Lara and Duncan Hrynko. He was preceded by his paternal grandparents Licinio and Rolanda (Mungai) Parenti and his maternal grandparents Alfred and Zelma (Wear) Smith. Jim graduated from Rich Central High School, Olympia Fields, in 1982, and attended Western Illinois University. He was a skilled maintenance worker, mechanic and carpenter. He enjoyed whittling, fishing, target practice (guns & archery), gardening and especially walking the woods with his dogs, Baby and Bosco. A memorial service was held on Aug. 27 at 4:30 pm at the Faith United Protestant Church, 10 Hemlock, Park Forest. Internment was private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. James Hospice House, 708-709-2005.
