Dan Miley Obituary
GREENVILLE - Dan L. Miley, 71, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Feb. 17, 2013, at 3:22 p.m. at Good Samaritan Hospital Dayton, Ohio.
He was born June 19, 1941, in Greenville, Ohio, the son of the late Z.H. and Mary L. (Teaford) Miley.
He was a grain farmer. He served in the United State Army during the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of Greenville High School class of 1959, a lifetime member of the FFA, and was a member of the Treaty City Amateur Radio Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Ronda Miley; son and daughter-in-law, Nathan and Erin Miley of Greenville; granddaughters, Nevan, Nola and Nalayna; brother and sister-in-law, David and Janet Miley of East Peoria, Ill.
Services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at EUM Church 1451 Sater St., Greenville, Ohio, with Rev. Dr. Jeff Harper officiating. Burial will follow in Nashville Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio. Veteran's graveside services will be conducted by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be given to the National FFA Alumni Association for future scholarships.Condolences for the family may be sent to www.zecharbailey.com

I feel honored to have known Dan. He was a very warm and sincere person. I was always impressed with how knowledgeable he was on a wide variety of subjects, and I enjoyed listening to him. When my sister married Nathan, Dan welcomed her with open arms along with the rest of my family. We have a lot of great memories. Dan, you will be missed and never forgotten!

I met Dan through amateur radio. Enjoyed listening to him talk about his Army experiences and life in general. In 1994 he found the JD tractor I had been searching for and came to see it shortly after we got it home. I couldn't thank him enough. One more time, Thank you Dan.

I am very sorry for your loss. I am ever grateful for Dan Miley and the memories that he left me with. He was a good man that treated me as a friend and made me feel like part of his family. He shared stories of his life, shared his time, his guidance, his opinions, his knowledge and himself as a friend, a mentor and a father figure. I will always love him for that and for all I learned from him over the years. Thank you Dan. You are already missed.
