Judith Steuben Obituary

Judith Ann Steuben died on January 6, 2021 in her apartment at Sunrise of Boulder. Judy was born Aug. 8th, 1938, to Clifford and Marge Dickens in Lansing, Michigan. After completing two years at MSU, she married Norton Steuben and helped him through law school by working various jobs. They moved to Buffalo, NY, where they adopted their two children, Sara and Marc. In 1968, they moved to Boulder where Judy completed her BA in education. Judy was very active with the League of Women Voters, Congregation Har HaShem, and was a substitute teacher for Boulder Valley Public Schools. She loved the outdoors, making people smile, and eating dessert first. Judy and her friends formed a walking club and together they explored the charms of Boulder's scenic beauty. Judy's family and friends saw her as generous, smart, and down-to-Earth. Judy saw her family and friends as the most important part of her life. Judy is survived by Sara and Marc Steuben, daughter-in-law Miwa Steuben, sister Janet Frank, brother-in-law Art Frank, and her dog Tessa. Judy Steuben was greatly loved and will be greatly missed--her glorious life will always be remembered. A memorial service will be held later this year--send inquiries to [email protected].
