Wayne Saunders Obituary

Wayne C. Saunders KINGSTON- Wayne C. Saunders passed away Friday Feb. 1, 2019, at his home. Born Feb. 26, 1942 in Catskill, N.Y., to the late Clifford and Esther (Davison) Saunders. He graduated in 1960 from New Lebanon Central High School in Lebanon Springs, N.Y. Wayne served in the U.S. Air Force from 1965 to 1969. He was an aircraft navigation systems technician, stationed at Otis Air Force base in Massachusetts, and Takhli Air Force base in Thailand. He retired from Smith Printing in Kingston, and was employed by Bank of America processing New York State tax returns. Wayne is survived by his brother, James R. Saunders and his wife Patricia; and nephew, Michael of Chesilhurst, N.J. Also surviving are best friends George Ellsworth of Kingston and Wayne and Colleen Lazrus of Saugerties, and his kitty buddies, Annie, and Chopper. Cremation arrangements are under the guidance of Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc., 27 Smith Avenue, Kingston. www.jvleahyfh.com Inurnment will be held at Hurley cemetery when weather will permit.
