Larry was a 1959 graduate of Colby High School. He worked as a carpenter and a contractor for many years, building houses and cabinetry.
Larry enjoyed Trap Shooting and was a member of the N.R.A., the Topeka Gun Club, and the Tappan Hill Gun Club.
Larry is survived by his two daughters, Alisa (Dan) Gray of Auckland, New Zealand, and Natalie (Kevin) Kalthoff of Shawnee, KS, son, Larry "Lynne" Saunders of Hill City, KS, and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service will be 2 pm, Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Beulah Cemetery in Colby, Kansas.
Memorials are suggested to the Arc of Central Plains; 600 Maine Street, Hays, KS 67601.
