June Aleene Snavely, 78, of Silver Lake, KS, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026 in Silver Lake, KS. She was born January 8, 1948 in Hiawatha, KS the daughter of Homer H. and Alice Horn. She graduated from Hiawatha High School.
June worked in retail at Volume Shoes in Topeka and retired after working over 20 years. She also worked as a secretary for BRB Contracting.
She married Roy Lee Snavely in Hiawatha, KS. He survives of the home. Survivors include one son, Colton L. Snavely of Topeka, KS; one brother, Norman Horn of Flagstaff, AZ; and two, grandsons, Braden and Tyler Snavely.
June’s wishes were to be cremated. Celebration of Life will be at a later date. Mercer Funeral Home in Holton is assisting the family.
