Anna Dadeo Obituary

Anna Mae Dadeo (Witkoski), 79, formerly of Glenville, passed at her residence in The Villages, Florida on October 22, 2018. Ann was born in Sommerset County, PA on September 29, 1939 to Anthony and Ruth Mae (Miller) Witkoski. Ann's early childhood was lived in Oneonta, NY then Scotia, NY where she attended grade school and graduated class of 1958 from Scotia-Glenville High School. Ann graduated from the Albany Business College in Business and Accounting. On New Years Eve 1960 Anna Mae wed John Dadeo of Burnt Hills after a brief courtship meeting while they were both employed at Central Market in Glenville. Later the couple worked in the family business The Burnt Hills Pastry Shop. Later Ann worked as a Realtor for the Welbourne and Purdy Realty then made a career of Human Resources with the Kmart Corporation in Glenville and Rotterdam, NY from where she retired in 1995. Ann was predeceased by her sister, Mary Jetty, her mother, Ruth Witkoski; her father, Anthony Witkoski; her husband, John Dadeo (August 22, 2009) and her in-laws, Joseph and Marguerite Magish. Survivors include her son, Richard Dadeo; her granddaughters, Caylin and Emily Dadeo; her daughter, Laura Golden (Dadeo); son-in-law, Robert Golden; grandson, Rob Golden and granddaughter, Danielle Golden. Also her caregiver of her last seven years Stephanie Justice and young Caitlin Justice. Ann's joy in life came from time gardening, crafting and antiquing, sharing adventures with family often including camping and fishing the Adirondacks and Cape Cod, and seeing the Caribbean islands on-board cruise ships. Her love and Joy of the pets and animals she surrounded herself with cannot be understated. Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protective Foundation of Schenectady, 53 Maple Avenue, Glenville, NY 12302. Services to be privately held at the Gerald B.H Solomon National Cemetery.
