Joyce Mahoney Wiese

Joyce Mahoney Wiese ScotiaJoyce M. Wiese, 89, formerly of Longboat Key, FL, Grantham, NH, and Scotia, NY, passed away on April 17, 2012. She was born February 4, 1923, in Schenectady, NY, to Stephen and Lillian Keyser Mahoney. Joyce was a loyal member of P.E.O. in New York and Florida. She was an accomplished tennis and bridge player. She was a master quilter, and one of her greatest gifts was the quilts she, and other women she gathered together, made for babies plagued by illness in New Hampshire and Florida. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Robert H. Wiese, and is survived by her daughter, Bobbie of Bradenton, FL; son, Dr. Frederick K. of Charlton, NY; and grandchildren, Jocelyn and Frederick of Keene, NH. Brown and Sons Funeral Home, 5624 26th St. W., Bradenton, FL, is in charge of arrangements. There will be no service. Burial will be in Schenectady, NY, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The P.E.O. Foundation, 3700 Grand Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa, 50312, or a charity of your choice.
