Louis F. Lattanzio

Louis F. Lattanzio 88, of Scotia New York passed peacefully on Wednesday, March 4, 2021 at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson, NY from complications of pneumonia. He was a man of compassion and loved by all who knew him. In his youth, Louis played the piano at several area bars and restaurants. Later in life he worked as a truck driver, mechanic, handyman and also worked as a diesel mechanic for Best Pac Corporation. He was predeceased by his birth mother Antoinette (Ramundo) Lattanzio, his parents, Frank and Adeline Lattanzio, and daughter Laura Holt. He is survived by his children Frank V. Lattanzio, Lisa (Joe) Arket, grandchildren Kevin Lattanzio, Jolie and Louis Arket, & Marissa Carmello and great grandchildren; Nico and Roman Lattanzio. He is also survived by his sisters Jackie (Tom) Tegiacchi, Paula (Mike) Hutsenpiller, his significant other, Shirley Rodd as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He served in the US Army from 1953-1955 as a corporal. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 9 to 11 am at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Burial will be private at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Schenectady City Mission, 425 Hamilton St. Schenectady, NY 12305 or to Veterans Miracle Center #10 Interstate Ave, Albany NY 12205 in Memory of Louis.
