Jeffrey Bullock Obituary

Jeffrey Bullock of South Elgin Funeral services for Jeffrey Bullock, 35, will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, at St. Patrick Church, 408 Cedar St., St. Charles, with the Rev. Akan Simon officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St. (corner of Route 64 and Route 25), St. Charles. Born Jan. 3, 1970, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Ronald D. and Kelly K. Bullock, he passed away Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, at Delnor-Community Hospital in Geneva. Jeffrey started working summers during high school at Bison Gear and Engineering Corporation in St. Charles and continued his entire career there. He was instrumental in establishing Bison's entry into electric motor production, serving as operations manager at Bison Electric. As Bison's vice president of operations, Jeff was an advocate for coverting the company's manufacturing processes to lean manufacturing and helped lead the implementation. As executive vice president, he was responsible for engineering, sales & marketing, administration and human resources and was a key driver in helping the company set record sales levels in 2004. Jeff was an active in supporting several charitable organizations, in particular The Hook a Kid on Golf Foundation and the Northern Illinois Food Bank. He participated in the UIC Family Business Council, the Small Motors and Motion Association and the Power Transmission Distributors Association. Jeffrey lived with zest and had a great sense of humor. He played for the Hockey and Golf Teams at Wayland Academy, and was proud of winning the International Four Ball Tournament in Gleneagles, Scotland with a team from Royal Fox Golf Club, which included his father, as well as hole in one this past summer at Rich Harvest Links. In addition, he customized cars and motorcycles and worked on home remodeling projects. In spite of his busy schedule, he always found time for putting his family first, and spent quality time with his wife and boys at their vacation home on Lake Wisconsin. Jeff loved hosting cookouts and family birthday parties for friends, family and his wife's parents, Jim and Paula Lublow, also of South Elgin. Jeff is survived by his wife of six years, Kelly; children, Douglas, Dylan and Brandon; his parents of South Barrington; sister, Laurel E. (Michael) Niemela of St. Charles; uncle, John Stewart of Nashville, Tenn.; and grandfather, Norman J. Bullock of Prospect, Kentucky. He was prececed in death by grandmothers, Marion Stewart and M. Elizabeth Bullock; and grandfather, Eddie Campbell. For information, (630) 584-0060.

There are no words to describe the deep sadness I feel for all those who loved Jeff. I was especially privileged to have spent many important years with Jeff. His “live life to the fullest” approach is an example for us all. I will never forget his smile and how it could light up a room. He was so accomplished and really found his place in life. To his wife Kelly, Jeff will always be with you and his spirit will shine through your children. The pain you must feel cannot be compared. God bless you during this time of grief. Love to Ron, Kelly and Laurel. We now have an angel to watch over us.

Always,

Irene Niemela

I never had the chance to meet Jeff but I talked to him a lot on SilveradoSS. He was the most down to earth type of guy on there. He never put anyone down or bragged about his possesions. Even though he had the best truck on the website, undoubtedly. He helped everyone out with whatever he could. He was probably one of the funniest guys on there.
