Dear Lawson Family:
It is with great sadness that I hear of the passing of Bob Lawson. Bob was a model of kindness to me that few others, if any, matched.
My wife and I met Bob and Doris in the fall of 1989 when we joined Prince of Peace United Methodist Church. Bob immediately befriended me, and welcomed me enthusiastically. I briefly sang in the choir with Bob. We played tennis together a few times. And I even purchased a "custom" bicycle from Bob, that he had made and assembled. Although my wife and I relocated to the Atlanta area in 1995, Bob would go out of his way to send notes and cards and keep in touch. He and Doris even visited for a short time as they were passing through the Atlanta area.
Doris, my thoughts and prayers are with you, and your family, as you grieve the loss of Bob. He was a wonderful example of a man to me, and I will miss him greatly.
Please accept my sympathies and condolences.
