I will ALWAYS think of Archie as my adopted son! He was so much MORE than my hair stylist he was one of my closest and BEST friends in Williamsburg! He was a loving, compassionate and humorous guy.
NO ONE can do highlights nor spike hair the way. You could!
Please R.I.P. My friend! U are missed by MANY and you will live in my
HEART and MIND forever!
I can just see you redecorating Heaven with your own unique style.at least you have met Bosley on the Rain Bow Bridge. Ruth and I were upset that we kept putting off going out together, but I told her that WE had done ENough Damage at during Ladies Night at Opus Nine!!
WILL ALWAYS LU and MISS YOU,

i would like to send loving thoughts to EVERYONE who knew and loved archie. i had only recently been introduced to archie at the salon, in williamsburg, va. in fact, i have only spoken and seen archie at the salon about four times, and i loved his attitude and his sense of humor and his love for life, and
yes,his Ricky. i didn't see archie each time i came to the salon but i looked for him each time i came, and yes i looked for ricky, he certainly was archies little shadow. archie was a true breath of fresh air, to me and for me. he was good for my soul! i am so very saddened to know archie passed on. i will truly truly miss him so much. i am greatful for the times archie and i shared our smiles and laughter and jokes when i was at the salon, although our moments we shared were very few, i can tell you he has made a lasting impression on me and that will last forever. please know that i love your son, your brother, and your friend. may he rest in peace.

I want to extend my deepest sympathy for your family's loss. I had the privilege to have Archie as my hairdresser and friend. He was one of a kind and for all the right reasons! He always rolled out the red carpet for me when I got my hair done and always made me feel like a million bucks! He was hands down the best hairdresser I have ever had. He had perfected his craft of giving us gorgeous hair! And though he was an exceptional stylist, he was really an artist who did hair too! He was so creative and did some really beautiful interior design and furniture up cycling. His sense of humor mixed well with mine and we had many belly laughs when we were together! I will miss my friend and will cherish the memories we have shared.

We are so very sorry to hear of Archie's death. Had no idea he was so sick. Every time we saw him he was happy and full of life. He was a wonderful person to be around and will be sorely missed. I can't imagine how his dog will exist without him - best buds! Please take comfort in knowing that he was a blessing on earth, making everyone he came in contact with instantly happier just because of his sweet disposition. Erica & Darcie

My Archie. A kind soul and happy heart. We used to laugh how disorganized he was but he was trying to improve on it. Declutter and make his life a little simple. He always did too much for the sake of others; whether staying late so he could accommodate my schedule or offer you a bottle of wine to take home. I hope that someone will take care of the beautiful garden he kept at the entrance to his shop. He spent a lot of time and money on it. Rest in peace my friend. Now it is time for you to relax and someone take care of you.

At present, I am looking at the wonderful round cement planter that Archie placed on a dolly and hauled to my yard from his, because I admired it so much. That was what Archie was like.....giving and always ready with a good laugh and a great smile. He never met a plant he didn't like nor a place too full to plant it. He would like what I planted this year and would only complain that it wasn't quite enough. Miss him, already.

Archie was a creative beacon for many of us who were his clients. Archie was an original. How we will miss his kindness, humor, multi-faceted talents and generosity. I shall never be able to drive by his salon without a thought of him. We have lost a treasure.

Archie became my hairstylist about 20 years ago. He moved locations after a few years and I lost touch. About 5 years ago, I found him again and started back. He always brightened my day with his humor. I always enjoyed looking over the salon to see how it had changed from 6 weeks prior. We discussed going to the estate sales. I always had to be careful about admiring something of his too much, because I had the feeling that he would give it to me. On several occasions I did not have my checkbook with me and I did not have enough cash. He told me to pay later. I always did but he would state that he forgot so I scolded him that it was no way to do business!

Archie, I will miss you and be reminded of you every time I get my haircut. My condolences to the family.

Irene, Rachel and family,
I was stunned to see Archie's name here. I haven't seen him of course since he was a little boy. My heart aches for your loss.
I read all of the wonderful words that friends and clients, etc. have said about him. I know he will be missed, especially hearing all of the good things about him.
I also know that you have the peace that only God can give you Irene. Praying for you all.

I was sadden to hear the news Friday that we lost Archie. I was in shock and could not believe what I was seeing. He just cut my hair 3 weeks ago and seemed ok. I said to myself how can this be. Archie was one of the most genuine person I knew. He always had that great smile, laughter and friendly attitude. He made us all laugh and would always fit me in if I had an emergency need for a last minute hair appt. We never knew what we were going to find when we went inside his shop. He was always changing things, moving things around, adding things and doing away with things to make his shop have a different feel. He loved his beautifull garden as we all did. His love for his dear Bosie and Rickie was so obvious. He was an encyclopedia of knowledge, if I needed information about something he could always direct me to the right person or place. Thank you Archie for all the 13 plus years you were my hairdresser and gave me great hair cuts.
Archie you will be missed beyond words by every one who knew you. You were dear to so many. May you rest in peace my friend. ❤

Archie was bigger than life. He was so sweet and generous to everyone. He had an INCREDIBLE sense of humor. Very sharp wit, and so quick, like his momma.

He was a bright light in this world and he will be monumentally missed by anyone that ever crossed his path in this life and our lives are just a little darker without him in it.

Godspeed Archie!
