Mr.Williamson, affectionately known as Uncle Willy was a wonderful music teacher at Connetquot. He always had a calm demeanor and knew all music students, regardless if you were band or chorus. He will fondly be remembered. Prayers to the Williamson family

I just loved Mr. Williamson and am so sad to hear of his passing. I remember, in my senior year, congratulating him on leaving Vestal High School for the Halls of William and Mary. He gave us so much but he deserved so much better and he surely found it!
Love and blessings

I am saddened to learn of Mr. Williamson's death but you can take comfort in knowing his influence lives on in the many, many students he guided and inspired. He transformed the marching band program at Vestal High School and was such a kind and patient teacher. My thoughts are with his family.

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Williamson's passing. He was a light for me at Vestal High School. His patience and love of music was inspirational. I continue to play in community bands and part of the reason is the joy that I felt as a member of the Vestal Golden Bears Marching and Concert Band. I still break out in smiles when I hear any of the songs that we marched to. My sincere condolences to all of Mr. Williamson's family.

I am so thankful to have had Mr. Williamson in my life. He had a gift for letting us grow up, for letting make mistakes while quietly pointing us in the right direction. My music collection contains many beautiful and powerful pieces that I would not have known were it not for those impactful four years under his direction. I listen to them regularly and he is there, in the music. And Mrs. Williamson, your brilliant smile and presence are inseparable from these wonderful memories.
After graduating, and having returned to the band' a few times, I was blessed by conversations with Mr. W regarding his faith; a profound addition to my knowing him.
Mrs Williamson and family, I a sorry for the separation you feel and glad for hope you have in our risen Lord.

Wow, what a man! I thank God, Michael Williamson was placed in my life. I first met him when I was in 9th grade at African Road JR High; then on to Vestal High School.
This man knew how to challenge and pull out the best in people; not to mention his unwavering patience. I attribute many life successes on my exposure to this wonderful leader.
To Judy, Michael and Roy, thank you for sharing your Husband/Dad with us.
Many thoughts and prayers are sent your way.

Judy and family,
Mr. Williamson meant so much to the Vestal concert/marching/jazz band family - especially to those of us who had him both at African Road and the High School. For many of us, band = high school and Mike is a huge part of those memories. My life is abundantly richer for having him as our director & teacher. My deepest condolences.

Mike brought joy and inspiration to the Williamsburg Consort with his playing and musical compositions. He taught us all, that music was much more than just notes on a page.
