Polly Nunn Obituary

HARRISONBURG - Polly Holden Nunn, 55 Polly Ann Holden Nunn, 55, a resident of Harrisonburg, formerly of Williamsburg, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2013. Mrs. Nunn was born on January 19, 1958 in Harrisonburg, Virginia and was the daughter of Jack P. Holden and the late Jola Elizabeth Foley Holden. She was a 1980 graduate of James Madison University. She was a talented artist who did painting, sculpture and photography of all kinds. She was a member of the Bridgewater Presbyterian Church. Surviving in addition to her father are two children, Severin Eric Nunn of Las Vegas, Nevada; Tessa Ashlyn Nunn of Phoenix, Arizona; and a brother, Todd S. Holden of Charlottesville. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Nunn was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey Holden. Reverend Kerry Foster will conduct a memorial service at the Bridgewater Presbyterian Church in Bridgewater, Virginia on Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be held privately. The body was cremated. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.mcmullenfh.com. McMullen Funeral Home in Harrisonburg is in charge of arrangements.

Every year I find little notes and things that remind me of good memories with Polly. My husband and I cherish every class and social time we shared with her. Even though she left too soon she lives on in her incredible art. RIP Dear Polly.

I still think of Polly whenever I sit down to paint or draw. She had such talent and it still saddens me that she was gone too soon. I remember the fun we had painting a mural at Williamsburg Presbyterian together and all the classes I took with her. She was a dear person with a beautiful smile.

I will miss Polly dearly...as a fellow artist, I loved her work...so glad I have a lovely painting that she did..also loved the classes I took from her in ceramics and concrete containers...I was really shocked to hear about her untimely passing..she was kind, loving, and considerate...so sad she has left us.
