Nicholas Morasco Obituary

NICHOLAS A. MORASCO AGE: 86 WALNUT CREEK, CA Nicholas A. Morasco, 86, of Walnut Creek, CA died peacefully on Friday Evening, June 26, 2009 at the San Marco Nursing Home. He was born in and a life long resident of Boonton, moving to California five years ago to be near his family. Before his retirement, he had been employed for more than forty-five years in the retail sales of Men's Clothing. For many years he was the owner of the olympic shop in Bernardsville, and later was a manager for Irv Lerner's in Ramsey and Nordstrom's in Paramus. He was an Army Veteran, having served in WWII. He was a former member of the American Legion Post and Knights of Columbus Council, both in Boonton. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Sonia (Kempa) Morasco on April 6, 2003. He is survived by his son, Nicholas of Danville, CA; his daughter, Tina Morasco of Playa Vista, CA and three grandchildren, Gregg and Katie Morasco and Callie Okun. Funeral Services from Lewis & Carey, Directors of Funerals on Monday Morning, July 6th at 9:30 a.m. to be followed by his liturgy of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Boonton at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, 312 W. Main St., Boonton on Sunday, July 5th from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.
