I am shocked and so very sad to hear of Larry's untimely passing. I worked in the same office as Larry, and he not only gave me great advice and wise counsel, he impressed me so deeply with his integrity, wit and warmth. How he loved his family, and talked about them all the time, his children were truly the joy of his life. He once asked me to go to a jewelry store with him to pick out a gift for Ginny, and he was so cute, like a young man in love, wanting to get just the right thing, and worrying so about it. I am so sorry to hear the news just today, and please accept my deepest sympathy on your great loss.
Sincerely,
Loraine Miller Kriegel

I am terribly sorry to learn of Larry's passing. I joined Smith Barney in 2000 and Larry was a friend to me from the first day. He was more than gracious in helping me with trading questions or anything else relating to the business. I will miss talking with him and seeing him at various company events. My deepest condolences to his entire family.

I was shocked to learn of Larry's death late last night. I grew up with Larry and his brother Elliot in a small town in Connecticut, and haven't seen him, his wife Virginia, and beautiful children in some time. But whenever I think of Larry, I think of the warm smile on his face and sincere interest when, upon greeting, he'd ask "how have you been -- tell me everything." Always genuine. A highly regarded alum of the synagogue in which we all grew up (Temple Beth Israel) and, I'm sure, a cherished member of his local Morristown community, he'll be sadly missed by those near, dear, and also from afar. Our deepest sympathies, Jeff Blumenthal and Family

I am saddened by the tragic news and send my sympathies to the Sobol family. I remember fondly the many years that the Sobol family spent at the Kirby Center. Larry was always pleasant, engaging and had a smile every day. We shared many conversations and laughs as his two wonderful children grew up around us. Your toddler bathroom caper will bring a smile to our faces forever. My thoughts and prayers go out to Ginny, Danny and Jackie.

I have spoke with Larry daily for the past 2 years . As I colleague of his I always looked foward to our conversation ,as you would never know what we would talk about after we concluded our work conversation. We always had a great laugh on the phone. I had the pleasure of meeting Larry a month and a half ago and we hit it off instantly. He had asked me out for a beer that night and due to family committment I regretly said no. Now oh how I wished I would have gone as I am sure Larry and I would have had so so many laughs. My Lonsman as I would call him rest in peace. Artie.
