Not sure what to say?

thank you all for your thoughts. Larry's birthday is tomorrow so we are thinking of him even more than usual.

I am shocked and so very sad to hear of Larry's untimely passing. I worked in the same office as Larry, and he not only gave me great advice and wise counsel, he impressed me so deeply with his integrity, wit and warmth. How he loved his family, and talked about them all the time, his children were truly the joy of his life. He once asked me to go to a jewelry store with him to pick out a gift for Ginny, and he was so cute, like a young man in love, wanting to get just the right thing, and...

My family and I want to express our most sincere condolences to Larry’s family on his passing.

Larry was a wonderful person.

He was smart, funny, compassionate, honest and faithful and generous.

We were blessed to have him in our lives.

He will remain in our hearts always.

I didn't know Larry. I'm Virginia, Danny, and Jackie's hairsylist. I was shocked. I shed tears for their loss. My prayers are for them, to have the strength, to get through this tragedy.

Not knowing Larry as well as we wanted to, one thing we can say is he was truly a mensch...a nice guy! We share the sadness with all of you, especially Ginny, Daniel and our friend action Jackson! On his face a smile always. In his chest beat the heart of a good man. He will be missed so very much.

In memory of Larry Sobol, your collleagues at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney

I am terribly sorry to learn of Larry's passing. I joined Smith Barney in 2000 and Larry was a friend to me from the first day. He was more than gracious in helping me with trading questions or anything else relating to the business. I will miss talking with him and seeing him at various company events. My deepest condolences to his entire family.

I was shocked to learn of Larry's death late last night. I grew up with Larry and his brother Elliot in a small town in Connecticut, and haven't seen him, his wife Virginia, and beautiful children in some time. But whenever I think of Larry, I think of the warm smile on his face and sincere interest when, upon greeting, he'd ask "how have you been -- tell me everything." Always genuine. A highly regarded alum of the synagogue in which we all grew up (Temple Beth Israel) and, I'm sure, a...

I was saddened to hear about Larry's passing. Whether it was a story about his beloved Boston teams or advice on what wine to have at dinner, he always made the commute more enjoyable. I will miss him. May he rest in peace.
