Jim,
Allen and I are so sorry to hear about April and your grandbaby. We were talking about how quiet she was when she would come to see you at Staffords years ago.
May the Lord be with you and Cheryl during your time of sorrow.

Cheryl,
My favorite memory of April goes back to 1993 when East Side Baptist went to Burnt Mountain for youth camp. It was extremely hot and humid that June. A group of us walked down the dirt road to where you had to "ford the creek". We were wading in the shallow waters and a tadpole swam across April's foot. She feared it was a snake and got so excited she fell backward into the water. She splashed and screamed until she realized it wasn't a snake; then she sat there and giggled that cute little way of hers for nearly five minutes. She was such a breath of fresh air! Always smiling and giggling.

I can't say "I know how you're feeling" because I can't begin to grasp it. But I can say "God will give you peace." Jerry gave Scott and me a small plaque back in the 70s that reads: Joy is not the absence of suffering, but the presence of God.

I will be praying for Jimmy and you. Maybe we can meet for coffee sometime.

Love in Christ,
Charlene Ruddell

I do not know you but I can almost feel your pain. I have 3 daughters and 7 grandchildren. Lord nows how it would rip me apart to loose one of them!
My baby girl knew your daughter and Appril was giving my daughter clothes that she could not fit into amy more. I too am expecting a new grandchild soon. So when I was told about your daughter all I waned to do is cry.
I pray that God be with you in your time of need.

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die:
A time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
A time to break down, and a time to build up:
A time to weep, and a time to laugh:
A time to mourn and a time to dance:
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.

Ecclesiastes 3

Our thoughts and prayers are with you
Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow
May your heart and soul find peace and comfort. May the blessings of love be upon you, May its peace abide with you,
May its essence illuminate your heart,
Now and forever more

April and I went to school together for many years, and spent lots of time together throughout our youth. Looking in the eyes of her daughter always took me back to that youth because she looked so much like the April we all knew and loved. I have always had a special place in my heart for April, and there she will remain! I will miss my friend dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with Cheryl and the kids.

"Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die..."

April, you have touched so many lives including my own. You will be remembered for your warm and loving heart. Thank you for allowing me to be a part your life. I treasure the memories we made and hold them dear to my heart. I miss you and look forward to seeing you again in Heaven. I love you sister.
