Charles SHERIDAN Obituary

SHERIDAN, Charles Keith 81 years old, of Cedarville, entered his Savior's rest on March 26, 2020. Keith was born August 29, 1938, in Springfield, Ohio, the only child of Marion Russell and Hazel Rosella (Brewer) Sheridan. He is survived by his wife, Eva June (Moore) Sheridan, married on July 3, 1965, and children Sharon Flatter, Bart Sheridan, and Matt Sheridan, plus nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Keith founded Sheridan & Associates and was a long-time Auctioneer and Realtor following service in the US Army and Army National Guard and years at the Dewine Seed Company and other agricultural businesses. He was also involved in community service at the regional and state levels. Among his personal honors were inductions into the Ohio Auctioneers Association and the Ohio Fair Managers Association Halls of Fame. He was a faithful member of the Clifton United Presbyterian Church. Keith loved people and entertained with his volume of life stories. He never met a stranger and was bigger than life to his friends and acquaintances. He was a faithful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who leaves a legacy of hard work, service, and love. The family will observe a private family remembrance on Wednesday, April 1st, and will hold a public memorial celebration at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Keith's name to the Clifton United Presbyterian Church or to Hospice of Dayton. Arrangements handled by McColaugh Funeral Home of Xenia, Ohio.

We were in school together in Yellow Springs ohio. He lived about a mile away from my Dad's farm with his parents. We went to the same school and rode the same school bus everyday. He will be missed but I have good memories from the "good old days".

I first met Keith at my first auction back in 1993 in Spring Valley. His enthusiasm was infectious and I became a regular attendee of the Sheridan Team auctions. My condolences during this difficult time, he will be missed.

Keith and I go back 70 years. Do you realize how many "war stories" that entailed. I've enjoyed this friendship over these years and he also had taken care of six actions for the Stover family. Rest in peace!

To the Sheridan Family, I met Mr. Sheridan at my first auction as a young teacher with limited resources in need of a stove. He recognized very quickly my plight and was as determined as I was for me to get that stove. That experience set the stage for my love of auctions. Years later I would successfully offer the final bid for what is now Glory Ministries Church in Xenia. Thank you Brother Sheridan for your kind and generous spirit! May you all be blessed and comforted by The Lord our God, family and friends and precious memories!

Blessings, Rev. Dr. Gloria Wade Dillon,
Pastor and Founder of Glory Ministries Church
