Ride on Schaefer. You were a dynamic extreme entrepreneur. It was a pleasure to be around you in your big hustlin days in the Oregon. Thanks for the jobs you gave me, especially the Carrillon Wright B Flyer project. Just remember good times and envying your gift of gab. While my family was in the OD long before you, you were a fresh face with big new ideas that the District really needed at the time and you made a huge mark @ the right moment. You helped inspire me to leave Dayton and go west to Las Vegas where I spent 22 yrs and do big things until the passing of my Daughter, also in 2019. I am now back home and was actually just trying to look you up and see if we could have a beer...or two
. Christine, I cannot imagine your pain. You were the obvious rock Jim needed for many moons. God bless you and your family. Much respect, Dan.

We are truly sorry about your loss. Jim contributed so much to the community and Greenhouse Industry. His enthusiasm with his work/jobs was relentless. He was also a sincere and honest gentleman. Jim still had so much more to offer and was too young to be leaving us. God Speed, Jim. Our whole crew will miss you.

Dear Christine and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Jim was one of a kind.
I have so many good memories of growing up together with Jim -- The "Ghost Fleet" at Brantingham, and the summer at Magic Mountain are just a couple of them. I will miss you and may you rest in peace my good friend.
Love,

Many memories of Jim growing up with and in the Schaefer family. Perhaps my favorite is a night of playing poker at the family dining room table with the Schaefer older siblings, Julia and I finally able to sit in with the teenagers. Jim was such a funny dealer of the cards. Good to see him again at Nancy's funeral last year. May you all find comfort in our Lord. May Jim Rest in Peace.
