Linda Marcum

1943 - 2017

MARCUM (Frazier), Linda Fay Age 73, of Somerville, went Home to be with the Lord Thursday March 30, 2017. She was born May 25, 1943 in Hamilton to the late Herbert and Daphna (Belcher) Frazier. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; son, Clay Minter; sisters, Phyllis Gabbard and Janet Minter Phelps; and special cousin, Carlene Little. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Vernon Marcum; daughters, Vernetta (Jeff) Wyatt, Starlene (Rory) Rumpler, Kimberly (Jeff) Drillien, and Rhonda Marcum; daughter-in-law, Melinda Minter; grandchildren, Krista Stephen, Clint Minter, Keli Gross, Derek Rumpler, Holly (Zack) Asher, Cassandra Minter, Brandon Rumpler, Brian (Danielle) Drillien, Mandi Rumpler, and Gregory Drillien; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; nephews and nieces, Dale Gabbard, Tammy Newton, Nancy Rainwater, and Bobby Gabbard. Linda was a very generous and kind-hearted person who would help anyone. She was a caregiver and the best person anyone would meet. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed. The family will receive friends Monday April 3 from 11AM to 1PM at Somerville United Presbyterian Church, Somerville. The funeral service will begin at 1PM with Pastor Debbie Richardson officiating.
