Virginia DILLER Obituary

News Death Notice

DILLER, Virginia Jane 91, slipped free from earthly constraints on Sunday, Sept. 9. Ever since moving to Kettering in 2006 following the death of her beloved Richard, mom was welcomed, nurtured, and greatly loved by staff and friends of her new home at One Lincoln Park and her faith family at Fairmont Presbyterian Church, Kettering. Virginia was a devoted mother to children Diane (Kettering) and David (and Ann) (Centerville); grandmother to Brian and Eric; aunt to Diana, Allyson, and Jonathan Roll; American mother /grandmother to Michaela Francoise, Jag, Darshu, Nirav, and Rushina and their growing families. Together with Dad, Mom reached out with gentle grace & understanding through international, civil rights, and peace-seeking groups in the 60's and 70's, hosting numerous international students from Asia and Europe for over thirty years. Mom was always grateful for the presence and gifts of others, especially these last weeks at Walnut Creek Nursing Center and Hospice of Dayton. A memorial celebration will be held at a later date. Donations in Mom's name may be made to Fairmont Presbyterian Church, the Dayton Peace Museum, or the Dayton Art Institute.
