News Death Notice
SHANK, John R. "Jack" age 72 of West Milton, and formerly a longtime resident of Englewood, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 27, 2012. John worked for many years in the mortgage department at CitFed Mortgage and later retired from Fifth Third Bank. He is survived by his wife of 54 years: Glennda L. (Smith) Shank, daughters and son-in-law: Debbie Compton of Dayton, and Kathy (Mike) Spirk of FL, grandchildren: Jesse, Jenny (Todd), Steven, Aaron, Brandon, Allison, and Sean, great-grandchildren: Todd, Jr. and Destiny, sister and brother-in-law: Carol (Donald) Warren of Englewood, daughter-in-law: Lisa Gayle Shank of FL, several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his son: Steven Michael Shank in 2000, and parents: Robert & Edith Helen (Mullin) Shank. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood). Interment will follow the service at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Pleasant Hill Ohio. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, envelopes will be provided. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.KindredFuneralHome.com
