Funeral for Marianne Gilhooly, 74, of Decatur will be Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Hubert's Catholic Church in Schaumburg, Ill., with Father Novak officiating and Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in Palatine, Ill. The family will receive friends Monday night from 4 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Gilhooly died Friday, April 4, 2003, at Falkville Nursing Home. She was born May 27, 1928, in Boone, Iowa. She was a retired teacher from Burleson Elementary School in Hartselle and had a Masters Degree in Library Science. She was the mother of the late Jim Gilhooly and Jeanne Gilhooly.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, John Patrick Gilhooly; three sons, Tom Gilhooly, Bob Gilhooly and Terry Gilhooly; one daughter, Mary Gilhooly; and nine grandchildren.
Memorial gifts may be to the Juvenile Diabetes Society.

We are so sorry to hear of Marianne's death. She was a wonderful lady and we always thought so much of her. She served at our wedding reception almost 20 years ago and was always so good to us.
