I believe I was in the last class he taught at Kent Vo-Tech South. Mr. Evans was an amazing dynamic teacher that captured my imagination with things what was possible with the future. Always interesting, taking time with students, even ones that shouldn´t have been in his class but hung just to have him as a teacher.
I only had him for one year, but his class and style of teaching left a lasting impact on me. I´m so sorry to learn so late of his passing.

What a great man Henry Evans was. I was so lucky to have been his student at Vo-Tech in Woodside. He taught me calligraphy which I still practice today. I am a better man because of him. He left an indelible mark on my life.

I was a student at Kent Vo Tech in Mr Evans Class. He was a great teacher and loved his war stories. He will be missed for sure.

Henry was a wonderful, talented and generous person who was an inspiration to students and colleagues alike. I was fortunate to teach across the hall from Henry for 11 years in the 70's-80s and able to observe his kindness and dedication first-hand. I'm certain that his presence will be missed by so many, but equally sure that his legacy will endure through the many lives he touched.

I was working on repairing Sand Hill Church floor on Sand Hill RD that had collapsed in 2009. This mature man with his granddaughter asked if he could tour the church, I could not wait to oblige. Then two weeks later he showed with this beautiful multi media image of Sand Hill Church, then I realized the man was the infamous Henry Evans right down the road. That beautiful painting hangs in the church now. What a great man. I tried to send an image of the painting but could not
