Rafik Eid Obituary
Wilmington - Rafik Joseph Eid died in Wilmington on April 22, 2021, at age 80.
He was born in Alexandria, Egypt where he attended French schools. He then obtained a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Manchester in England and an MBA from the University of Dallas in Irving, Texas.
Rafik worked in England, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait for several years before moving to Boston, MA in 1986. He then settled in the Wilmington-Newark area and worked as an independent technical sales representative in the building industry. In retirement, he enjoyed substitute teaching and taking classes at the University of Delaware Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. Rafik was an active member of the Silverside Church in Wilmington.
He is survived by his brother, Raymond Eid and his wife, Veronica Matthews Eid of Wilmington, their two children, and grandchildren from Leesburg, VA, and other family members in Canada and Europe.
Services and Interment at All Saints Cemetery will be held privately.
