Darryl Eid Obituary
He was born on Dec. 22, 1942 in Burlington to Frank and Hazel Werner Eid. On April 20, 1968 he married Betty Estrada and she passed away on Jan. 3, 2022. Darryl was a fireman for the City of Fort Madison for over 30 years. He proudly served in the US Army. Darryl was an avid fisherman and would go every weekend most of his life. He also enjoyed collecting stamps, coins and arrowhead hunting.
Survivors include a daughter, Darice (Devin) Gosney of Burlington and a son, Darryl Eid, Jr. of Midland, Texas; three grandchildren, Owen Eid, Hymiley and Kuryna Gosney; a sister, Juanita De Lucia of California; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a brother, Merrill and two sisters, Twila Schrader and Phia Woodall.
The family will meet with friends from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A private burial will take place at Soldiers' Circle, Oakland Cemetery.
