Dale Blomstrom Obituary
AGE: 89 • Wilmington, Del.
Dale C. Blomstrom, age 89, of Talleyville (Wilmington), DE, died on August 3, 2017, at home.
Dale was born in Lincoln, NE, son of the late Andrew and Jeanne Cutts Blomstrom. He graduated from the University of Nebraska with a BS in chemical engineering and from the University of Illinois with a PhD in chemistry.
After service in the US Army Chemical Corps, his career was in the Central Research & Development Department of the DuPont Company, working in the fields of organic synthesis, plant biochemistry and molecular biology. He was the author of numerous scientific publications and holder of several patents. He retired in 1989 after a career of 37 years.
Dale was predeceased by his wife, Ann. He is survived by two daughters, Carol, of Centerville, MA, and Laurie, of Charlottesville, VA; a son, Eric, of Glen Rock, NJ; and two grandchildren.

My name is Ronny jones and I work for him 20years until he retired. We shared some great times, thing we accomplished together was awesome.
I will never forget how he taught me algebra in the lab and other responsibility as a man because I was a very young. Even today as a pastor of my church I often speak of him. I pray God will ease the pain of the lose of your father. He has already been missed by me.. GOD BLESS If you like for me to speak as a friend just send me a email and I will be so happy to do so.

As a coworker with Dale for DuPont, I knew him as a fine gentleman and superb scientist. His keen insight was sought after by many of us when challenging research issues would arise, as they often did. I am ever thankful that our career paths crossed when they did.

Carol, Laurie and family....so sorry to hear about the passing of your Dad. Though I knew him only a short time I can truly say he had a great dry wit and stayed engaged in worldly issues making for good conversation. I enjoyed our visits. I know he's glad to be reunited with your Mom again though I know he will miss Hey You. I pray for your healing as you cope with your Dad being gone.
