Phyllis Bartoli Obituary
Phyllis Ann Bartoli, "Mom-mom," 65, of Bear, Delaware, died suddenly from a pulmonary embolism early Monday morning, March 5, 2013 at Christiana Hospital.
Phyllis was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 6, 1947. She graduated Bay Ridge High School and moved to Delaware in 1968. She worked for DuPont until she had children and later worked for Handleman Hearing Aids from the late 1970's until the early 1990's. She became an Account Manager for Sheeran Direct Marketing (recently acquired by Echo Data) in 1993 and remained there until her death. She was a loving mother and her heart belonged to her five grandsons.
She is survived by her two daughters, Jennifer Gatti McVey and husband, Sean of Langhorne, PA and Jacqueline Gatti Truluck of Wilmington, DE; her grandsons, Connor, Christopher, Samuel, Jack and Michael; and her brother, Richard Lupo and wife, Mayra of Holmdel, NJ.
Her parents, Anthony and Marie Lupo; and her husband, Daniel Bartoli preceded her in death.
The family would like to receive friends and celebrate the life of Phyllis at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Tuesday, March 12. Visitation will take place from 3:00 - 5:30PM, with the Celebration of Life beginning at 5:30PM. The family would also like to invite friends to a reception immediately following the service to continue the celebration.

Words simply cannot describe the loss felt when such an amazing human being leaves us to gain her wings and join our family and friends in our eternal home. Having been blessed to have Phyllis and her daughters from childhood to adulthood in my life can not be expressed in such few words. Jennifer and Jacqueline-
I don't know if you remember me (us) but we lived next door to you in Brandywood. Your father called to tell us the news and I wanted to let you know how much we loved your mother. She was the bright light in the neighborhood and she was an incredible person who always had time for the next door neighbors. I have very fond memories of both of you and wish you comfort in this time of grief.
