"Liza"
Elizabeth H. McKenna "Liza", 73, formerly of North Wilmington and currently of Bear, DE, died on Monday April 28, 2008 while in Christiana Hospital.
She was a graduate of St. Patrick's School and Kennett Square High School. She also graduated from Widener University as a certified Para-Legal. Liza's expertise was in residential mortgage settlements. She worked for various Wilmington attorneys over a span of 30 years retiring in 1993. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary. Liza was truly a woman of unmatched courage and strength and was full of love and dedication to her husband Jack, children and grandchildren. Her greatest joy was spending time with her entire family.
Liza is survived by her husband John "Jack" McKenna of 44 years; children, William Neill McKenna (Shannon), Megan Januszka (Ted) and Melissa Mannering (David); grandchildren, Caitlin and Hannah Mannering, Emily and Patrick McKenna and Dylan and Maura Januszka and brother, Arthur W. Harrison. She is predeceased by her parents, Charles L. and Marie O'Neill Harrison; beloved grandmother, Margaret Fahey O'Neill and brother, Charles Harrison, Jr.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am on Friday May 2, 2008 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church where friends may call beginning at 10 am. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Ministry of Caring, 506 N. Church St., Wilm DE 19801 or Immaculate Heart of Mary, 4701 Weldin Rd., Wilm DE 19803.
