EMMETT ZICKGRAF Obituary
"Zeke"
Mr. Emmett J. "Zeke" Zickgraf, Sr., age 71 of New Castle, DE, died on Monday, October 24, 2005, at his home.
Mr. Zickgraf was born July 15, 1934 in Wilmington and served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. A professional truck driver, he was a member of Teamsters Local #326 for many years. Mr. Zickgraf greatly enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially gardening, fishing and hunting. He also looked forward to trips to Delaware Park and hanging out with his friends at "Zeke's Place."
He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Ruthann Graham Zickgraf; 3 sons, William E. Zickgraf and his wife, Anita, of Abingdon, MD, Emmett J. Zickgraf, Jr. and his wife, Marie, of New Castle and George G. Zickgraf and his fiancée, Claudia Buiano of Sharptown, MD; sister, Joan Krok of Claymont; 7 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
A service will be held at 11 am on Friday, October 28, 2005, in the chapel of Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Joseph B. Stahl American Legion Post #30, 30 E. Jackson Avenue, New Castle, DE 19720.
