Age 63, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 16, 2005.
Jane was born in Kennett Square, PA November 8, 1941, daughter of the late Thomas B. and Rachel Worrall. She graduated from Penn Hall, Chambersburg, PA and also attended Rollins College in Winter Park, FL. She lived in Glenside, PA until she and her husband, Carl, built their home in Parkwood, Wilmington, DE, where they raised their 3 sons. Jane worked for 16 years in her home, caring for her family as no one else could. Although holding numerous work positions thereafter, her last and favorite was the Delaware Museum of Natural History, where she was membership manager. Of her many talents, Jane enjoyed sewing most of all; making various items, mostly for children and for sale in the Museum's Gift Shop. Jane will be remembered always as a loving wife, caring mother and our best friend. Her spark and zest for life touched so many in too few years.
Jane is survived by her husband of 39 years, Carl. L. "Tip" McCallister; and her 3 sons, Brian W. McCallister and his fiance, Joy E. Gamble, of Bryn Mawr, PA, Eric W. McCallister of Stratham, NH and Keith B. McCallister of Cody, WY. She is also survived by her brother, Thomas B. Worrall, Jr. of Angola by the Bay in Lewes, DE.
Visitation will be held at the R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 West Main St., Newark, DE 19711 on Wednesday, April 20, from 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 21, at 11 am. Interment will be private in Union Hill Cemetery in Kennett Square, PA.
