Priscilla GARDNER Obituary

Priscilla A. Gardner Formerly of Wilmington, DE died October 22, 2003 in Falmouth, MA at age 87. She was a native of Newton Centre, MA and a graduate of Simmons College that honored her in 1981 with its annual Alumnae Achievement Award. During her Wilmington years, she was very active in United Nations affairs, serving as president of the Delaware Division of the United Nations Association of the USA and was a founding member of the Delaware Council for International Visitors. She was a branch and state officer in the American Association of University Women and a founding member of the Mill Creek branch. She was an officer on both state and local levels of the League of Women Voters and an active member of the Arden branch of the YWCA. She was the widow of Rev. William E. Gardner, former associate minister of the First Unitarian Church in Sharpley, Wilmington, DE, who died in 2000. She is survived by her sons, Robert of Lakeland, FL and Christopher of Hyannis, MA; 3 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and 2 nieces. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, November 1, at the Meeting House of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 840 Sandwich Rd., Falmouth, MA 02540.
