Sarah Williams Obituary

Sarah "Sally" Williams

Wilmington - Sarah "Sally" E. Williams died peacefully and unexpectedly in her sleep at the age of 81 on Monday, October 15, 2018. Never one to boast, Sally told us to keep this short.

Sally found success in countless pursuits: skilled tennis player, talented artist, successful antiques dealer, business owner, and Thanksgiving chef, to name a few. Most notably, she built a successful 37-year legacy of fun and friendship as Executive Director of Mid-County Senior Center. She'll be remembered for her classic sense of style, razor-sharp wit, charisma, tremendous generosity, and love of chocolate.

Sally is survived by her husband of more than 60 years, Walter "Wally" Williams, her children, Timothy, Tod, and Tracy Williams, her sister, Katharine and brother-in-law Larry Nutter, her nephews, Matthew and Andrew, and her grandchildren, Haley and Hunter Williams.

Services will be private. Those who so desire may make donations in memory of Sally to: Mid-County Senior Center, First Regiment Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808. Condolences may be offered online at mccreryandharra.com.
