Sandra (Miller) Frick

Lorain, OH - Sandra (Miller) Frick, age 73, died January 11, 2018, in Lorain, Ohio, after a brief illness.

Sandy graduated from the University of Delaware in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She taught at Chesapeake City (MD) Elementary School for several years, then became a secretary at Atlantic Aviation. She worked for more than ten years as an instructor at Online Consulting, where she taught computer skills to professionals, many of whom had never seen a computer before.

Sandy was an avid gardener, cook, seamstress, reader, and artist. She made her daughter's Halloween costumes from scratch; later she sewed costumes and scrims for several productions at Opera Delaware. After her retirement, she joined the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, where she took classes in Italian and acoustic guitar, and taught classes in watercolor painting.

Sandy was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Edward Harold Frick, of Wilmington, DE. She is survived by her daughter Gretchen Woods, of Avon, OH; her sister, Patricia Erney, of Freehold, NJ; her brother, Gary Miller, of Greenwood, IN; numerous nieces and nephews; and one granddaughter, Liza Woods, of Avon, OH.

A private memorial service will be held later this year. Instead of flowers, the family suggests donations to CurePSP, 1206 York Road, Suite L-4, Lutherville, MD 21093 (curepsp.org); or Great Lakes Theater, 1501 Euclid Avenue, Suite 300, Cleveland, OH 44115 (greatlakestheater.org).
