Agnes & Family
It was 1969 at Philadelphia Electric Company when I first met this big man seventeen years my senior. What a sense of humor and kindness! Joe had a way of making me and others feel like family. It was a blessing to work with Joe until his retirement. He was a leader, organizer extraordinaire and friend to all. Condolences and love to the family!

GOD BLESS Joe and his family. I always enjoyed working with Joe at phila elec. But in recent years I would bike by and stop and have long talks with Joe and Agnes.Both I and my daughter Melissa had come to really enjoy those visits.I was really looking forward to enjoying that this summer. Joe was a rare wonderful person one rarely meets in a lifetime. Everyone that knew him will so miss him.

Mr. Hammond was a nice happy go lucky guy who enjoyed a good time/life and always had a smile on his face. My condolencs go out to the entire Hammond family. R.I.P. Mr. Hammond.

Agnes and Family
Joe was a gentle giant that you always could count on. Joe, Agnes Rich, and me had a lot of good times together. He was a good husband, father and friend he will be surely missed.
There probably is a big party going on up there!

The Hammond Family -
So sorry for your loss. I first met Joe back in 1980 when I started working in the Engineering & Design Department at PECO. He was so nice. He always had a way of bringing fun to work. He was like a big gentle teddy bear. We had some very great memorable times because of him, especially his "Government Jobs"that he would ask you to do LOL. I consider myself very fortunate to have met a great man like Joe. He will always hold a special place in my heart. Thinking of all of you during this most difficult time. Peace be with you all.
