Dear Davie, Nancy and Mark, I just read your mother's obituary and wanted you to know how much I admired each of your parents.
So many years ago I babysat each of you at your home on 10th Street. You parents were each so remarkable: kind, loving, positive, educated, and always interested in others. I used to have lunch with you and your parents in the kitchen; Davie, you and I would go outside and explore their flower garden; you always asked wonderful questions about what we found together - I did my best to answer. We had fun together. Later, we would make flower arrangements for all over the house - your mother always complemented us as we used ALL the vases! You and your amazing parents were always home to me; they babysat me as well. I remember you all with fondness. I now reside in CA and live on a ranch. The frogs of springtime are singing a chorus of life for all of us.
Fond wishes to each of you and your families,
Susan Leach Hansen

So sorry to hear belatedly of Mrs. MacQueen's passing. As young children, my sister and I and our cousins attended the Upland Baptist Church, and Mrs. MacQueen was our Sunday School teacher. She was so kind and gentle. I also attended school with their son, David, and one of my fondest childhood memories was Happy Hour for the kids at the church every Friday evening, conducted by the Reverand David MacQueen. Condolences to the family; I am so sorry for your loss.

Truely one of the nicest people I have ever met. Dave and Dorothy both, gracious and welcoming. Upland was very fortunate to have had the Macqueen famly reside there. God bless Dorothy Macqeen. Just try to imagine leaving this world, having left such a positive mark. Marcia Albrand

We are fortunate that Dorothy MacQueen's sweetness touched our lives. She was a lovely woman. Our hearts goes out to Cate for the loss of her dear grandmother, and to the rest of the MacQueen family. Thank you for allowing us to share Dorothy with you. Much Love, Liesa and Grace
