RADNOR — Tim L. Rice, 56, of Radnor passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on September 24th, 2018.
Tim was born July 21st, 1962 at Ireland Army hospital, Fort Knox, KY, to parents Willard & Patty (Hunt) Rice.
Tim graduated from Buckeye Valley High School in 1980. He worked 5 years for Delo Screw and later went to work for Honda of America working there for 28 years until he became ill.
He loved and owned Mustang cars, was a dedicated Harley rider owning several bikes. He loved NASCAR attending many races. His favorite driver was Mark Martin. He attended drag races in St. Louis with his father. He was also an avid Kentucky Wildcats basketball fan like his mother.
Tim was a great cook in his own right, and he was a connoisseur of good food. He loved his mom's baked pork chops in the oven, and her meatloaf eating it all in one sitting, as well as her cut out cookies.
Tim is deeply missed by his loved ones. He was a very special person in our lives. He had many friends and was loved by everyone with his bubbly personality and story telling. He was always willing to help anyone who needed help.
Tim was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, aunts, uncles, and furry companion Shelby.
Tim is survived by his son, Justin Lee Rice, whom he was most proud of and Justin's mother Kathy Rice; Parents Willard and Patty Rice; sister Tammy (Okey) Jordan; nephew Shane (Audra) Askins, D.J. Shilt; nieces Stevie (Joe) Hodges, Sumer (Greg) Akers; great nephews Cameron Ray, Hunter Akers, Grayson Askins; great niece Frankie Jo Hodges; aunts, uncles, cousins and his furry companion Bossy; and a wonderful best friend Steve Bonecutter.
There was a celebration of life at About Time Tavern on Saturday October 27th 2018, given by best friend Steve Bonecutter and special friend Linda Talbot. A celebration of life at Tim's home in Radnor for immediate family only was held on November 4th, 2018. Arrangements were handled by Shaw Davis Funeral Home, Columbus, Ohio.
