Bonnie and I had a lot of good times growing up together. We were such good friends and it is a shame that we lost touch after graduation but I still always remembered her as one of my best friends.
Funny story short version. When we were in the 7th grade I skipped a class with some older kids. We went behind the gym and they would smoke. I was scared to death. Anyhow my mother never found out about it even though the principal knew all about it. Well I begged him not to tell my mother and I promised not to do it again.....AND I didn't. Well every time Bonnie would come to my house, she would tell me she was going to tell my mother. I would grab her arm and say come on let's go outside or something and she would laugh do hard. She never did and she wouldn't have but it still made me sweat.
I loved spending the night with Bonnie. Her mom and dad, sisters and brother were so nice. Breakfasts at her house were awesome. Her mom would always have homemade biscuits.
We would go next door to Fred Phillip's store and get some candy or cupcakes and a drink and talk to Mrs. Phillips.
When i spent the weekend with her, we would get in the back of the school bus since there were only a few of us left on there. And when the bus went over the bridges, we bounced all over the place. Just good fun back then.
I could go on and on about our times together. I just want all of her family to know that I send my love and condolences to them. Betsy I really like that you have kept in touch with me on facebook.
I love you Bonnie. Rest in Peace my friend.
