Dr. Constantine John Falliers

1924 - 2018

Constantine John Falliers, MD left this world on June 27, 2018. He was 93 years old, and had lived a full, rich and fortunate life. Constantine Falliers was born in Athens, Greece in 1924 to Ioannis and Zoe Fallieros. After receiving his medical degree in Greece, he benefitted from the generosity and openness of the post-war United States by receiving American scholarship support to continue his medical education in the United States. While in Denver he met Electra Sclavenitis at a Valentine's Day dance at the Greek Orthodox Church. They were married in 1953, and had just celebrated their 65 th wedding anniversary. Dr. Falliers had a distinguished career as physician, researcher and author. He had significant international influence in his primary professional field - allergy and asthma. He touched many lives over his more than four decades of private practice. He had long standing associations with The University of Colorado Medical School, National Jewish Hospital and the Veterans' Administration Hospital. Dr. Falliers maintained long relationships with American veterans who would drive for hours to benefit from his care. In addition to his many professional accomplishments, he had wide ranging interests in many spiritual, cultural and worldly fields. Throughout his life he broadened and deepened his connection to the arts, music, history, culture, current affairs, food and wine and languages. He maintained his keen curiosity about the world throughout his life. He developed and maintained long standing and deep professional and personal friendships all over the world. Dr. Falliers is survived by his wife Electra, his children John (Cathy), Spero, Danae, and Christopher and his granddaughter Delia. He was predeceased by his brother Stavros, Professor Emeritus of Physics at Brown University.
