Dear Leah and children. I pray for you regularly in my prayer time. My tears have flowed many times for you and all of the family. I pray for your comfort and provision and that the presence of the Savior will be very real to you. I have never met you but I will see you in heaven and look forward to meeting all of you and Eric too.
In christian love,

Leah, Brad and I are just heartbroken. We had just been talking about you guys and that we hadn't heard from Eric in a while. Brad had run across his starcraft game on an old computer and said he missed those nightly games. We will be thinking of you in this difficult time. Maybe someday we can make it west and would love to see you and the kids.

I continue to be saddened by the loss of Eric to his family, his friends, his profession. He was a good guy! We worked together at PA Labs, we shared a birthday day, love of football, (even though he loved the Dallas Cowboys) and he was always up! Smart, caring, energetic guy, gone too soon. Eric adored his family. I pray God keep them safe and give them strength for the days ahead.

I live in Virginia state, when I heard of the mass shooting that had taken place in Colorado, my heart was broken. Then I heard the story about Officer Eric Talley, the bravery he'd shown. So I was compelled to write this message to his family, friends, community, and his fellow officers. I wanted them to know that his story effected me and you all have my deepest condolences. Just know the bravery your son, brother, husband, father and coworker will not be forgotten. May you all find peace and comfort. Rest high Officer Eric Talley - your work here is done.

I may have never met Officer Talley But I would love to be his friend. I'm here writing this because I'm 17 turning 18 soon But it's because I want to be a police officer. I may not be an officer but it's hard to see an officer be killed and not be hurt. Thank you Officer Talley for fighting these evils in our streets. (RIP Officer Talley)

I worked with Eric at Target in Muncie, Indiana while he was a student at Ball State. His smile was always cheerful and his laugh was infectious. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing and I'm praying for his family.

He put others before himself walking in king soopers that was under fire. If not for police officers the death toll would be higher. My heart goes out to his family, and his extended family in blue. Rest in peace.
