Late to this but our families lost touch ... so sorry to hear about Ted. Our parents loved your family and had great times together, traveling to the Black Forest/Schwarzwald and Italia. Recall Ted and rest of Denver crew late night at our house discussing issues of the day (as kids, we called it "arguing"). Seemed like they were concerned about the world's problems, they all had their opinions, and all had their say. First generation Italiani. They believed in education, No. 1. What stayed with me -- they respected their friends, and others, and they cared.

I feel so incredibly lucky to have known Ted (Theodore). We made an acquaintance through another friend and I came into Teds life to help layout and design several of Teds wonderful books. In short order he was not my client, but a true and wonderful friend. I spent hours hearing amazing stories about his life growing up, his loves, his time in the military and his deep feelings for his family and his late wife Elfriede. Ted had shared with me how he needed a reason to go on after Elfriede's death and so he took something else that he loved, the old Elitch Theatre here in Denver and researched its long and amazing history and together we made it into the first book I worked on with Ted. He had spent many hours at the Denver Public Library and contacting other people affiliated with this place to create the only book to this day that captures the theatres rich history. Once finished Ted wanted to keep writing and researching and he brought to life a wonderful story about a woman named Maude Fealy. Almost forgotten by time he brought her story to many people that knew of her or wanted to. Again I felt so privilaged to have been a part of that journey. Ted was a very accomplished poet and had published several beautiful poetry books before we met. He told me he had a new one, and Love Is was published in 2017. I love his style of poetry and vision of life as he relates the many sides of love we experience in life.
To Teds family my heart felt condolences at Teds passing. I know from our many conversations that his children and extended family meant the world to him and he loved you all very dearly. I truly believe I could sit here for days to write about all the wonderful stories that Ted shared with me,. What a beautiful and kind soul to have spent a sojourn of time with, a real gem of a man and I feel so honored to have had him as a friend. You are missed dear man, may your eternal journey be as rich as your life here.
Attached are some covers of the books we worked on together. He was very proud of them and so am I. Also is the
Preface to his book Love Is, what wonderful words I believe he would have wanted to share with you all right now.
Preface
Love is defined as a strong affection for or attachment or devotion to a person or persons.
Among all the needs of people, the greatest is to experience love - to love, and to be loved.
Of course, with love comes the risk of being rejected, unloved, left floundering with wonder when love runs out, while experiencing all the emotions that center around the various love themes and expressions - the pain of loss, the fear of living without someone you love, the discovery of new love, the possessive nature of old love and on and on. Moreover, however, love is accompanied by joy and laughter, fidelity and commitment.
Although much has been written about love, a reader never tires of love stories and, in fact, is in constant search of more because everyones life is impacted by love, by actual love or by dreams of love.
The power of love awakens the potential within us and makes us conscious of all that is around us, and we begin to see ourselves and the world differently.
Love is the defining experience in ones life and reshapes us in ways we cannot forget, even through the pain of loss.
The journey of love and its discovery is always meaningful, and while at times it moves over a bumpy road, it always remains worth the ride and its memory.
I am pleased that you have elected to join with me in pondering the surroundings of life, its thoughts, its sights and its emotions as expressed in poems.

Mr. Burrillo was a very good friend of John J Rossi, an attorney for whom I worked 31 years. After I left the firm, Mr. Burrillo kept me informed of new books he had written, provided me autographed copies to buy and placed them in the mail. He missed his wife terribly and loved his children deeply. I had great respect for him and enjoyed his thoughts, writings and integrity to his profession. I made it a point to send him birthday cards on July 4th and he always responded with a thank you call. This year there was no call. I finally Googled his name today. His passing makes me very sad. My deepest condolences to his family. I will inform the Rossi family of his passing. It was a blessing to be introduced to him and his beautiful writings inspired by Elfriede.

What a pleasure it was getting to know Ted ! I worked in bookkeeping at MNP and visited with him many times through the years. Ted shared his poetry with us by sending one of his books. He will be missed by many and I feel blessed having known him.

Please accept my sincere condolences dear family and friends. May prayers strengthen you and memories comfort you. And may you find hope and comfort in God our Father, who loves us, comfort your hearts and "make you firm". (2 Thessalonians 2:16, 17).

I was sadden to read of Mr. Borrillo's passing.
I had the pleasure of
being part of his Healthecare Team at the Southwest Kaiser Permanente. What a kind and pleasant gentlemen. When I retired he gave me a Willow Tree angel titled Dreaming Angel and a beautiful card with a message that brought tears to my eyes. ( I was not at work the day he brought it in, it was a lovely surprise sitting on my desk.) He is one of our patients that I have thought about over the years of my retirement and will never forget.
May the Peace of Christ be with all of his family.
Rest in Peace Mr.
Borrillo.

Ted was a wonderful friend and will be missed by many. I had the honor of being in a prayer/discussion group with him for several years. We shared many good times, meals and always enjoyed each others company. Blessings to all of you who loved him dearly.
