MARUYAMA, HELEN N.
Helen Maruyama, 78, of Denver, died June 17, 2006. She is survived by daughter Deb Maruyama; son Robert Maruyama; daughter-in-law Roz Kueter; grandchildren Emily and Eric Maruyama; sister Marjorie Kawano; nieces Kristy Zigich and Judy Shimono; a grandnephew and numerous grandnieces. Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., June 26, Christ the King Lutheran Church, 2300 S. Patton Ct., Denver. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arapahoe Philharmonic Orchestra, 2100 W. Littleton Blvd., Suite 250, Littleton, CO 80120; Denver Teacher's Club, 990 Glencoe St., Denver, CO 80220; Denver Dumb Friends League, 2080 S. Quebec, Denver, CO 80231; Cherry Creek Chorale, P.O. Box 3272, Greenwood Village, CO 80155.

Helen and I have been friends since school days. I will miss her. We played together in recent years in the symphony, but had more fun with our string trio. She was a wonderfully talented musician. I still play the cello once in awhile for church since moving to Loveland.
My love and sympathy to all the family.
