Next to my father who I lost two months ago, I can't think of another person in my life that was a mentor than Bill. He influenced my career and life. He will be deeply missed and my prayers go out to Stacey and the children.

I work for Proscapes Landscape Design in Knoxville, TN. Bill and Stacey have been loyal customers of ours for over 4 years. Bill was a great man and I always enjoyed meeting with him. Somehow we would always find time to talk about fishing or football. My thoughts and prayers are with Stacey, their children, and family. This is such a tragic loss.

I had a chance to work with Bill at three different companies. In each case, he gave me the opportunity to express my talents, always encouraging, always positive. I am deeply grateful to have had him as a mentor and friend.

My sympathies to Bill's family. His impact and passion will be sorely missed. Bill was the first person to hand me a $2M check and say "use it wisely" and give me the responsibility to protect Daka's investment. While the business world was his arena, in so many ways, the biggest smile from him came when he spoke of his family and that could stop any business discussion in its tracks. I'm a better person for having known Bill and he will be missed.

In the 7+ hears I knew Bill, I grew to love his wisdom, disciplined thinking, integrity, humor, honesty, and compassion. He was one of the businessmen you could trust to do the right thing day in and day out no matter the circumstances. I trusted his counsel and will miss his leadership. My family and I are indebted to him for how he has helped us prosper.
I hope Stacy, Shayna, the rest of his family, and friends take some comfort in that my family and I will miss him and that they have our support and prayers.

I was extremely sad to hear about Bill. It's so hard to see him gone.
There was so much more left to be done for his family, friends and business.
His great success with Egg and Eye Restaurants in yet another career achievement in his business life is beyond remarkable. We were deeply saddened to hear about Bill's passing. Bill was a wonderful man and he will be missed. Bill was my friend, my business partner and my inspiration. He was a true leader who daily exhibited fortitude and wisdom in making deciisions, encouraged and taught those around him and was bigger than life. His knowledge of the many levels and aspects of the restaurant industry is legendary. He knew it, practiced it and shared it.
It's hard to describe the impact he had on me in words. He was just "there" and those attributes he personified will burn in me forever. My flame will be much dimmer than his ever was.
